IT support for accountants.

Managed IT for accountancy practices across West Sussex. HMRC MTD-ready infrastructure, Cyber Essentials for your PI insurance, and client-data segregation written into the build.

HMRC Making Tax Digital, without the drama

MTD for Income Tax kicks in from April 2026 for self-employed individuals and landlords above the threshold. That means your practice needs a reliable chain from client records to HMRC-recognised software, with audit trails you can defend. We build the Microsoft 365 and device setup that keeps your MTD submissions predictable — patched endpoints, MFA on every mailbox, and Conditional Access so a lost laptop doesn't become a data breach.

ICAEW and ACCA expectations

The ICAEW Code of Ethics and ACCA Rulebook both expect proportionate technology controls over client confidentiality, access and retention. We translate that into the technical work: role-based access in SharePoint, unique logins per fee earner, documented retention on client files, and logs that prove who saw what. If your practice monitoring visit asks for evidence, we produce it.

Practice-management app compatibility

You probably run a mix of practice tools — general ledger and bookkeeping (Xero, Sage), tax and accounts production (IRIS, CCH), or workflow systems layered on top. We're software-agnostic. Our job is to make sure the Windows 11 baseline, Microsoft 365 tenant and endpoint protection all play nicely with the apps you already pay for, not to sell you a new stack.

  • Ledger and bookkeeping platforms — desktop or cloud, single sign-on where supported
  • Tax and accounts production suites — RDS, Citrix or local install, patched and backed up
  • Practice workflow and CRM — access controls aligned to fee-earner roles
  • Document portals and client portals — MFA enforced, session timeouts set

Client-data segregation

Client A's data should never be visible to Client B, and neither should be visible to the junior who's left the firm. We set up SharePoint with per-client libraries, least-privilege access, and automatic offboarding when someone leaves. Backups are per-mailbox and per-site so a ransomware event on one area doesn't poison the whole tenant.

Cyber Essentials for PI insurance

Most professional indemnity insurers now ask whether your practice holds Cyber Essentials. The ones that don't ask yet will soon. Every contract we write is built to pass Cyber Essentials v3.3, and we'll run the full prep — documentation, vulnerability scans, remediation — at no extra charge on a standard IT support plan. Cyber Essentials Plus, with the external audit, is a fixed-fee add-on.

FAQ

Accountants ask us

Do you support IRIS, CCH and Xero together?

Yes. We don't care which practice-management tool you've chosen. We handle the Windows 11, Microsoft 365 and endpoint layer so your existing apps keep running, patched and backed up.

Will you help us pass Cyber Essentials before our PI renewal?

Yes. A standard West Sussex practice reaches Cyber Essentials inside 45 days of onboarding. Tell us your renewal date and we'll work back from it.

How do you handle partner laptops working from home?

Intune for device compliance, BitLocker for disk encryption, Defender for endpoint protection, and Conditional Access so a device has to be compliant before it gets to client data.
